What’s your biggest accomplishment?

“What's your biggest accomplishment?”

My mind couldn’t reach an answer from the depths of my thinking. Having a degree was not an option. Getting married did not feel like it was either. Was it a career I have not mastered yet? No. Was it the dreams and visions that I caught a glimpse of? No. Oh, the disappointment that came over me shuffling to find an answer to this question.

Don’t get me wrong, those are all life experiences that can sustain you, but they always felt empty to me. This question never really mattered to me until it seemed as if everyone around me lived by their own opinion on it.

For some reason a comfort would always shadow me when getting asked. A safe shadow. That He was still proud of me. That my compassion warmed people's hearts. That my time to listen gave people another chance. My obedience for Him meant more than anything. That my attentiveness to the faceless brought them to His gates. That my wonder about Him opened my eyes to a new taste of Him.

“My relationship with you, God, is my accomplishment.”

“But first seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
